GIFTS COME EARLY FOR HARRIS PARK STUDENTS
Surprise gifts came early at Harris Park Elementary as Waste Connections of Colorado in association with Westminster Public Schools Foundation delivered dozens of brand new bikes and helmets for all Level 4 and Level 5 students.
In some cases, the students received their bikes right away. In other cases, parents picked up the bikes and will deliver them at a future date. Some may end up under a Christmas tree or as a special Hanukkah gift. P.S. Don't tell the kids!
Principal Nancy Mills spoke for everyone as she helped volunteers put out the bikes in the parking lot. “Don’t you just love it,” she exclaimed.
This event supplements the bike giveaway that Harris Park hosts every fall. Wish for Wheels has outfitted every second grader at Harris Park with a bike and a bike helmet for a few years running.
